Following the resounding success of our 2025 programme with Tickford Park Primary School, our Academy Manager and coaches are now delivering an “introduction to bowls” After-Schol Club at Willen Primary School.
We have around 20 pupils attending the Wednesday sessions. At the moment, they’re learning with soft balls in their school hall, but they’ll have a chance to play with proper junior bowls on the club’s grass green in May.
After that, those who want to carry on with the sport, will be invited to sign up to our Academy.
Working with schools is an obvious way for us to reach a young audience and we’ve been really fortunate (and grateful) to secure support from two local schools.
