Bowls England funding has become available to support a new programme to develop a countrywide network of regional junior bowls academies – and Newport Pagnell has been appointed as one of those centres of excellence.
The aim is to build and deliver a resourced and structured junior development pathway from grassroots club level through to full international participation.
Our Head Coach, Howard Jones, commented: “We are absolutely delighted with this appointment, which recognises our innovative hard work in developing our Junior Academy over the past seven years.
“Our current development blueprint is already aligned with Bowls England’s programme, so we’re well-placed to deliver this initiative, which will improve the quality of coaching and bring highly-skilled young players into our sport.”
