The weather was fine and the sun shone – a great day for our annual Ladies’ Triples Gala – and showcasing our club in the local bowling community.
Twelve teams of three lady bowlers took part from all over Buckinghamshire, each playing three games of seven ends against opposing teams with points awarded for a win, a draw and the number of ends won.
Cash prizes went to the winners Uptown Girls from Bletchley Town; and second-placed Woburn Sandies from Woburn Sands.
The standard of play was high with great performances across the board on what is recognised as one of the best greens in north Buckinghamshire.
Well done to Sue, Helen and Pat who represented Newport Pagnell and took third place against some of the area’s most experienced lady players.
The day was topped off with refreshments and a delicious two-course lunch.
